There is ongoing teacher cooperation between the (Tomsk, Russian Federation) and Tallinn University, and its importance cannot be overestimated, as both universities have an interest in the central questions raised by internationalisation, as well as committing to teacher mobility in the framework of a collaborative European programme. The teacher mobility supported by the ERASMUS+ programme Key Action 1 between institutions from Programme and Partner countries aims to extend collaboration on an international scale and to contribute to the teaching of the central questions raised by communication management and intercultural communication and migration in a multilingual and multinational environment.

With the support of this programme, during the period 03-09 December 2019 Dr. Elena Kosheleva, Associate Professor at Tomsk State University, gave lectures on “Internationalization, Multiculturalism and Higher Education: Examples from the Russian Federation and the United Kingdom”, “Corporate Anthropology: using emic and etic approaches for exploring and changing organizations”, and “Problem-based Learning Approach to Internationalization, Transnational and Educational Migration and the Challenges for Multiculturalism”, which were a part of the regular course “Internationalization, Multiculturalism and the Challenges for Business Management”, with the objective of exposing students to selected topics in the area of managing in multicultural environments. The course is taught within the master’s programme in Communication Management.

ERASMUS+ teacher mobility between Tallinn and Tomsk will continue in 2020, when Dr. Anastassia Zabrodskaja, Professor of Intercultural Communication and Head of the Communication Management master’s programme, will go to the National Research Tomsk State University to teach the course “Superdiversity, Identity, Translanguaging and Intercultural Communication”.
