In the spring of 2023, a new national curriculum was adopted, where the art subject curriculum focuses on the lifelong development of artistic competence, the application of general competencies and integration, and the use of diverse learning activities to achieve learning outcomes. Against this background, a question has arisen: how can the guidelines presented in the national curriculum be successfully implemented into the everyday life of schools?
The inspiration presentation addresses the process of planning art education and discusses what it means to consider integrity and long-term goals in both short-term and long-term learning processes. It also explores how to connect the creative process with inquiry and engagement, and how to find opportunities for diverse reflections.
