Introduction

Helen Joost has completed a Bachelor's degree in Educational Sciences at Tallinn University and holds a Master's degree in Organizational Behavior. She has worked in the fields of early childhood education, youth work, and leisure management. From 2003 to 2007, Helen Joost served as Vice Dean of Academic Affairs at the Faculty of Educational Sciences at Tallinn University. Since 2012, she has been the Head of the Academic Affairs Office at Tallinn University, and since 2021, she has held the position of Academic Affairs Manager. In this role, she is responsible for the organization, development, and quality of the university's formal education, with the aim of providing a high-quality learning experience.

Main tasks

Leading the development of academic organization and learning activities, including the creation of regulations governing the academic field (such as the academic policies, curriculum statute, academic calendar), coordinating student admissions, managing the distribution of scholarships and study allowances, organizing student mobility, promoting student support services, and administering the study information system

Analyzing data related to the academic field (statistics, feedback)

Advising university staff on matters related to academic organization

Organizing and managing the work of the Academic Affairs Office
