On the 11th of April organizes School of Natural Sciences and Health Rheology Day.

Rheology is the study of the flow of matter, primarily in a liquid state, but also as 'soft solids' or solids under conditions in which they respond with plastic flow rather than deforming elastically in response to an applied force.
Time schedule:
12:30-15:30 - seminar, room A-346
16:00-17:30 - introducing dynamic rheometer machine at our laboratory, room A-533.
Event is open for everyone who is interested. Event will be held in English.
Event topics:
  • Rheology and viscous behavior
  • Simple viscosity tests
  • Rheometers and measuring systems
  • Definitions: shear stress, shear rate, viscosity
  • Rotational tests
  • Flow behavior
  • Yield point (via flow curves)
  • Further flow curves and viscosity curves
  • Time-dependent behavior (rotation)
  • Temperature-dependent behavior (rotation)
